Biography: August Ames (born August 23, 1994 in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, died December 5, 2017) was a Canadian porn star. She was of Polish ancestry and was one-quarter African-American. She was also known as Hailey Edwards. August committed suicide at the tragically young age of 23 on December 5, 2017, by suicide after a social media backlash following a tweet she posted, due to some perceiving the tweet as homophobic.
